Yesterday we gave away the fish and their tank. A woman I work with was willing to adopt the whole setup and not flush our goldfish or feed them to something else. She brought over her 4 year-old neice, who had all of the fish named before she even got there.
I felt good about giving the fish to Julie because she's been having some health problems and it's nice to give her something to make her happy.
Dave's a bit lonely, though, and misses checking up on them every night.
