My new French vocabulary word is pourri, which means “crap”, and puts everyone in stitches when I use it.
My boss said, “Very good French progression. I will note this”.
It’s hard to believe that I’ve had this job for five months and didn’t know the word for “crap”.
Although I did learn “bullshit” quite early.
Congratulations ! Although, you were slightly misleaded. We use pourri for crap, but pourri actually means « rotten », while crap would be translated into... hum... « crotte » i think, eventhough a crotte is a real pooh [popo in French] and wasn't taken from a brand.
