Today I made one of those cute language mistakes that turns into a pretty good laugh.
I was in the coffee room, chatting with one my colleagues who had just returned from India. I wanted to ask "Do you have any photos of India?", which should have been:
"As-tu des photos de l'Inde?"
But I forgot that you have to say "the India" instead of just "India" (this is a common mistake for me), so instead I said:
"As-tu des photos d'Inde?"
Which sounds like:
"As-tu des photos dinde?"
...which is also bad French, but roughly means:
"Do you have any photos of turkeys?"
