If you hadn't heard, the train strike from last month has picked up again.
The train employees had gone back to work when the government agreed to "think about" their conditions. They set a deadline, which was up on Tuesday night. And ever since they've been striking.
This time around it doesn't seem so drastic. True, there are a lot more people walking on the street (despite the sub-freezing temperatures...brrr), and traffic is a bit heavier, but it's really not all that bad.
Although on Thursday morning I saw a well-dressed businessman trying to hitchhike out of town. He even had a cardboard sign. I would have taken his picture if I didn't feel so bad for him.
It's going to be bummer if the metro is down for the weekend. I guess we're just going to have to wait it out.
