Why You Don't Want to Shop in France

I saw this pretty dress a few weeks ago at a BCBG store in the 17th arrondissement in Paris. The price was 370 euros.
My friend Katie went out and found the same dress in the BCBG in Troy, Michigan. Price: $340. The BCBG website also confirms this price.

And with today's exchange rate , the math works out like this:

Paris dress: 370 euros x 1.53 = 568 USD

Michigan dress: a real steal if you're French.

This is why I reserve most of my shopping for the semi-annual sales and Spain.
