Boulogne and Brunch

This past weekend was the first of really nice weather this year, so David and I decided to go to our favorite warm-weather place, a sunny patch of grass in the Bois de Boulogne. We brought a picnic lunch, played cards, read, and napped in the sun. I'm so happy that summer is coming back!

On Sunday we met Wally & Friends for brunch. This time we were joined by Benoit and Audrey, good friends we knew in Detroit. In fact, Benoit was my first French friend. We had a lot to catch up on, and after brunch the four of us ended up taking a long walk around Paris.

And then today, I picked up my parents at the airport for their 2nd annual visit. After they unloaded all the great loot (food) they had brought, I took them to the botanical gardens in the Bois de Boulogne, which David and I had discovered on Saturday.

It turned out to be a good decision, because my parents appreciate plants a lot more than Dave and I do. We got some great photos of the resident peacocks, and my mom illegally fed them crackers. It's my mom's nature to feed everyone, man or beast.
It's a beautiful park, and admission is free (weirdly enough), so if you're ever in town and would like a nice walk, we'll be happy to take you.
