Various responses from our French friends when we tell them that we're moving to Pittsburgh:
"Pennsylvania. Huh. Are you going to be a Quaker?" -Julien
"Hey! That's where the marmot (groundhog) lives!" -Wally
"Excellent. There are cheap flights between Pittsburgh and Paris" -Alban
"They have an Andy Warhol museum, right?" -Isabelle (props to Isabelle, I didn't even know about the Andy Worhol museum until a few months ago)
Most of the others know that the city is (was) rather industrial. They want to know what there is to do in Pittsburgh. Of course, to most French, if it's not New York or the Grand Canyon, it's not worth visiting.
