"If you live your whole live in the same town, have the same friends, and work the same job, you won't have any arguments. But who wants a life like that?" - Brad Lawes
Tonight for dinner I invited a British colleague who's working in Meru for four weeks. When I first met Brad a few weeks ago he had just started at Faurecia and had latched onto Lisa for English conversation. The second time I met him he was looking lost in the canteen. So we've come to share a few coffees and lunches, enjoying the opportunity to speak English for a while and compare notes about France. What's fun about Brad is that he's impressed with my French.
Anyway, I know how lonely hotels can be, so I invited him by for dinner. He seemed to really appreciate the company, and we had a nice evening discussing the differences between working in Europe and the States.
