Ok, I have been locked in a hotel for the past four days, but I did have CNN and BBC. So I have no excuse for not knowing that Charlton Heston died until five minutes ago; almost one week following his death.
Last Monday on our drive to work I was drowsily half-listening to the radio and heard his name a few times.
"Why are they talking about Charlton Heston?" I asked Dave. He had only been half-listening, too, and didn't know. I figured it was something about politics.
How the heck did I miss this news by nearly a week? If I hadn't been catching up on Grant's articles on Gadling I might have never known.
The point of this story is that I am completely out of touch. Thank goodness for the internet. In English.
