Swedish Brunch

We had brunch on Sunday with Wally and his friend Nico at the Swedish Cultural Center. Brunch in Paris at the Swedish Cultural Center: now there's something I couldn't have imagined doing two years ago.

Every Sunday the center operates a small cafe run by - I'm assuming - local Swedish women. The cafe is cozy and homey and reminds me a bit of a hostel dining room. The food is handmade by the women, who seemed as proud of it as the customers were happy to eat it.

We made sure to fuss over everything before finally choosing small sandwiches and cake with coffee.

After the meal we parted ways with Nico and tromped through the rain to the Place de Vosges. We had asked Wally to take a new photo of us for the blog, and it was here that he took the new profile picture you see to the right.

It's fun knowing a photographer. Although we felt a little silly, like we were posing for our engagement photos all over again.
