Let's Go Vote!

All right! Let's get this vote over with!
The #1 question I have received over the past two weeks has been "Have you voted?"
Thankfully, I can say yes, I have voted. At David's parents' house, at the kitchen table, five minutes before running out the door to catch our flight. It was pretty anti-climatic.

I swear that the French are more pumped up about this election then we are. Random people would come up to me at work and say "Only 8 more days! Aren't you excited?"

And they are all in love with Barack Obama. Wally says that four years ago, everyone thought John Kerry was a god.

I had this conversation with the tailor last weekend:

Grumpy old man behind the counter: "Which country are you from?"

Me: "The United States." Just let me have my pants, please.

"Ah...the land of....McCain?"

"Obama. The land of Obama." Pants. Now.

"Good. Here are you pants."
