This year Lunar New Year happened to fall on the same day as Valentine's Day, so when presented a choice - the Chinese New Year celebration or a Valentine's Day dinner - you can imagine which one David chose with enthusiasm.The first Parisian Chinese New Year parade I attended in 2007 was in the 13th arrondissement, which is where the majority of the Parisian Asian population lives.
This year we chose an event at the more notorious Hôtel de Ville, in the center of the city. We only stayed for a few hours, but got a good fill of dragon dances, firecrackers, and well wishing for the Year of the Tiger.
