This is Markus and our colleague Eric, standing outside the restaurant where we had dinner. Eric brought us to this small pedestrian street lined with restaurants from around the world. He offered Italian, German, French, Middle Eastern, Thai, and all sorts of others, but we firmly insisted on Chinese.
Before coming here we visited the Pearl Market, or the"fake market", as our colleagues call it. A massive market selling a variety of fake products on each floor - handbags on one, clothes on the next, jewelry on the third, and electronics and DVDs on the fourth. I bought a leather laptop bag, and a few DVD sets for David and friends.
